M80 sign Joreuz, Motta and Drufinho

M80 revealed its new Rocket League roster on X on Saturday with an announcement video: Joreuz, Motta and Drufinho. Nick stays on as head coach, according to Sheep Esports. No substitute was announced. The club welcomed the three players by name in a follow-up post.

Northwood's champions and a familiar face

Motta and Drufinho arrive together from Northwood University, where they won the CRL Fall Championship 2026 alongside Creamz, beating Concord University 4-2 in the grand final on October 25. Nick coached that team (our coverage).

Joreuz completes the trio. The Dutch player was a free agent after Ninjas in Pyjamas parted ways with him, Crr, oaly and coach LBP at the end of September (our coverage). He returns to M80, where he played in RLCS 2024 according to Sheep Esports.

The players reacted on X. Joreuz said he was very excited to be back. Drufinho said he was "so happy to play with the boys". Nick said he was glad to be "back living with" Joreuz and "running it with the Northwood boys", and thanked Marco Mereu and M80 "for trusting in this project".

Marco Mereu summed up the move in four words: "M80 car ball is back."

Through the Open

The new lineup replaces a roster that had already started to change: M80 parted ways with Mech on October 26 (our coverage).

M80 is not one of the partner organizations invited directly to the Club Kick-Off in London (December 9 to 13). The team will have to go through the North America Club Kick-Off Open, played online from November 6 to 15, with registration closing on November 3. Only the winner earns a spot at the London LAN and in the Club League (full format). The announcement video carries the same message: "One spot. One mission."
