nass is the RLCS 2026 1v1 World Champion. The Gentle Mates star beat defending champion Nwpo 4-2 in the grand final at Dickies Arena on 18 September, the first world title decided during Worlds week in Fort Worth.
The final
Nwpo arrived in Texas as the man to beat. He had won the inaugural RLCS 1v1 crown earlier in the season and swept through the MENA side of the bracket to reach another LAN final. This time, nass had answers. The Moroccan took the series 4-2 on the alternate stream, ending Nwpo's reign and claiming the $50,000 top prize.
How he got there
The four-player bracket at Worlds was always going to be tight. nass had earned Europe's spot by beating zen 4-3 in the EU 1v1 Open grand final: their fourth meeting of the season in a 1v1 decider. In Fort Worth he backed it up against diaz, the North American representative, before turning to Nwpo.
Nwpo's path ran through kv1, who had punched his ticket from South America with a dramatic seven-game run at the SAM Open. The Saudi held serve in the semifinal, but the final was a different matchup: two of the best ones players in the world, on stage, with a world title on the line.
What it means
For nass, the 1v1 crown caps a season that already included the Boston Major with Gentle Mates. He is still alive in the 3v3 bracket as Worlds heads into Championship Sunday. Gentle Mates reached the lower bracket after a 4-2 loss to Spacestation Gaming on 19 September.
The 1v1 World Championship is new territory for RLCS: 2026 is the first season with side brackets for 1v1 and 2v2 running alongside the traditional 3v3 Worlds. Nass is the first name on the 1v1 trophy. The 2v2 final followed on 19 September; the 3v3 champion will be crowned on 20 September.
